E xperienced journalists with an interest in AI can apply for grants.
Tarbell is offering grants for original reporting on AI and its impacts. The grants will assist journalists in producing explanatory reporting that helps the public understand complicated topics in AI.
The grants allow journalists to explore current and future harms from frontier models, investigate the inner workings of leading AI companies, and scrutinize lobbying efforts shaping AI policy.
Successful applicants will receive grants up to US$15,000
- Deadline: September 14, 2025
- Eligibility: Media workers and technologists focused on disinformation and/or AI
- Target Sector/Beneficiaries: Journalists, researchers, technologists, educators and organizations working in disinformation, AI and more
