This video on TikTok purportedly announcing the death of Frank Tumwebaze, the Minister of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries is FALSE.
While the video has no details of when or where the minister purportedly died, his image in the video is labelled ‘RIP (Rest in Peace)’.

Contrary to claims, Minister Frank Tumwebaze is alive. Fifteen days after rumors of his death circulated, he officiated at the African Union Extraordinary summit, which began on 9 January 2025 in Kampala. The event was broadcast live by the National Broadcaster, UBC TV.
Several other media outlets also covered the summit and reported on the minister’s speech, as seen in their respective reports here, here, and here.
Additionally, Tumwebaze has been actively updating his X (formerly Twitter) account with photos and videos that confirm his presence and activities.
