n an effort to bring health information closer to the community, Factjaja has partnered with Dr. Magezi Festo, an epidemiologist, to tackle community health misinformation in both Runyoro-Rutooro and English. The program will air on Life FM 93.8 Fort Portal, targeting the Rwenzori region and beyond, every Monday and Tuesday from 8:18 to 8:25 AM.
This program will also stream on Spotify, offering more people access to reliable and culturally relevant health information. It is part of Factjaja’s ongoing mission to flag and debunk long-standing cultural myths and perceptions surrounding public health.
Dr. Festo will address critical topics such as the dangers of self-medication, cultural misconceptions, mental health, contraceptives, and other underlying health challenges affecting communities.
