This post on facebook with an image allegedly of students seated on the bare ground writing examinations at a Ugandan school is FALSE.
On 3 November 2025, students across Uganda began their P.L.E exams, and several photos purporting to show candidates sitting for the exams were widely shared online. One of these images was captioned “Time P.L.E Exams Gala Primary School Buyende Uganda.” which indicates candidates sitting on the open dusty ground.
A Google reverse image search, however, reveals that the photo was actually taken at Holy Cross Comboni Primary School in Yirol, South Sudan, during an exam session. The same image appears as the cover photo on the school’s official Facebook page. Additional photos featuring students in the same uniforms can also be seen on the school’s page.
FactJaja reviewed the post and found that the claim is FALSE. Notably, this same image was previously fact-checked and debunked by PesaCheck on 15 December 2023.
This article is part of Factjaja’s ongoing efforts to investigate and verify content flagged as potential misinformation across social media platforms.
